Internal rules for all visitors and guests of the Galleria Riga shopping center

These internal rules (hereinafter referred to as “the rules”) regulate and determine the procedure for the presence and use by visitors and guests of the Galleria Riga shopping centre in the shopping centre premises and the adjoining territory.

These rules are binding on all visitors and guests of the Galleria Riga shopping center.

Galleria Riga premises, parking lot, roof terrace on the 8th floor and the adjoining area are a publicly accessible place, therefore visitors and everyone are also bound by Riga City Council Regulation No. 80 “Rules of Public Order in Riga”, as well as by all other laws and normative acts in force in the Republic of Latvia.

The owner of Galleria Riga is SIA "Patollo". According to Article 1036 of the Civil Law, ownership gives the owner alone full rights of power over a thing, insofar as this right is not subject to specially determined restrictions.


1. Galleria Riga security service

1.1. Compliance with these rules and with public order is monitored by the employees of the shopping center's security service.

1.2. Visitors and guests of Galleria Riga must follow the instructions of the security service employees.

1.3. Video surveillance operates in the premises of Galleria Riga and the adjacent area. Video surveillance is carried out to prevent or detect criminal offenses. and it is carried out by SIA "Patollo", address: 10- 9 Blaumaņa Street, Rīga.

1.4. Galleria Riga security service employees have the right to expel from the shopping center premises and adjacent territory persons who do not comply with these rules, and, if necessary, to detain persons who commit unlawful and/or criminal acts until the State Police arrive.

1.5. Galleria Riga security service employees have the right to inspect suspicious persons, objects and situations where there is suspicion of planning or carrying out unlawful activities.


2. Galleria Riga opening hours:

2.1. Is indicated at the entrances to the shopping center,

2.2. Is indicated on the website galleriariga.lv.

2.3. The shopping center administration has the right to change the opening hours without prior notice.


3. In the premises of Galleria Riga, in the parking lot, on the roof terrace on the 8th floor and in the adjoining area:

3.1. It is prohibited to remain in the premises of Galleria Riga, on the roof terrace located on the 8th floor and the adjacent area outside the shopping center's operating hours, except in cases where this has been agreed in writing with the shopping center administration and written consent has been received from the administration;

3.2. It is forbidden to damage the shopping center's property and equipment, or to litter the premises and the adjoining territory;

3.3. It is prohibited to disturb in any way other shopping center visitors, guests, employees and service personnel (including, but not limited to security, cleaning, technical staff, etc.);

3.4. it is prohibited to smoke, including to use electronic smoking devices, not only indoors, but also not closer than 10 m from the entrances of the shopping center;

3.5. It is prohibited to visit the shopping center in indecent, foul-smelling or soiled clothing or in a state of undress;

3.6. it is prohibited to be under the influence of alcohol and/or psychotropic substances, to consume alcohol and/or psychotropic substances within the area of the shopping center and the adjacent territory;

3.7. the consumption of alcohol is allowed only in the shopping centre's cafés and restaurants;

3.8. It is prohibited to spend the night or sleep in the Galleria Riga premises, in the parking lot, on the roof terrace on the 8th floor and in the adjacent area;

3.9. It is forbidden to leave any type of objects unattended (including, but not limited to – bags, sacks, packaging) within the shopping center premises and the adjacent territory; if such unattended objects are discovered, the security service has the right to immediately dispose of them.

3.10. it is permitted to sit only in places designated for that; sitting on the floor, in stairwells, on terrace boards and other places not intended for that is prohibited;

3.11. it is forbidden to bring in easily flammable and/or explosive substances;

3.12. it is forbidden to enter with firearms, cold weapons and special means, except in cases when official duties are being performed;

3.13. It is forbidden to breach the fire safety norms established in the regulatory enactments of the Republic of Latvia and to use fire extinguishers, fire alarm buttons, fire cabinet equipment and any other fire safety equipment without authorization, except in cases when a fire or some other emergency situation has broken out in the shopping center;

3.14. is forbidden to use the shopping center's evacuation stairs and doors, except in cases when an emergency has occurred and an evacuation announcement is being sounded;
3.15. It is forbidden to ride an electric scooter and other motorized means of transport, roller skates, skateboards or bicycles in the premises of Galleria Riga, and it is also forbidden to move around the shopping centre's roof terrace with such types of means of transport;
3.16. When moving through the areas adjacent to Galleria Riga and the parking lot, the driver of the means of transport is obliged to move at a speed that does not disturb or endanger the health and life of other visitors; in the adjacent area it is recommended to move by pushing your means of transport beside you;

3.17. The presence of minors in the shopping center premises, in the parking lot, on the rooftop terrace and in the adjacent area is the responsibility of the adults accompanying them or their authorized representatives;

3.18. Visitors to the shopping center are obliged to comply with posted warning, instruction or prohibition signs, if such are posted;

3.19. Visitors of the shopping center are obliged to comply with the hygiene and anti-pandemic regime requirements established in the country, including regarding the use of personal protective equipment, if such are specified.

3.20. The use of the shopping center's fountain edges for sitting is permitted for visitors and customers, but is not intended for persons who are present in the shopping center premises to carry out commercial activities (including, but not limited to – courier services waiting for an order, persons collecting donations, and similar).

3.21. In the shopping center's common areas it is prohibited to gather together more than 3 persons conducting commercial activities, i.e. representatives of courier services (Wolt/Bolt), if the representatives cannot confirm that at that moment commercial activity is being carried out in the shopping center area (an order has been accepted).


4. Shopping center parking lot

4.1. The rules for the use of the shopping center's parking lot are posted in the parking lot and are binding on all parking lot visitors and users.

4.2. The shopping centre car park is a paid parking area; payment for parking must be made in accordance with the price list displayed in the car park.

4.3. It is forbidden to park cars and motorcycles in places not intended for them, to disregard road traffic signs, directions and markings.

4.4. Pedestrians are prohibited from using the shopping center's entrance and/or exit to the parking lot that is intended for cars, motorcycles and other types of vehicles. Pedestrians must use the elevators or stairs to enter and/or exit the parking lot.

4.5. Drivers of bicycles, electric scooters and other means of transport are required to comply with the parking area's rules of use and the traffic signs and directions placed in the parking area, including entrance and exit direction signs.

4.6. The bicycle parking facilities located in the Galleria Riga underground parking are intended only for short-term bicycle parking. Bicycles that have not been used for a long time or appear to be abandoned may be moved or disposed of at the discretion of the Galleria Riga administration.

4.7. The shopping centre administration and the parking manager have the right to change the parking price list and the terms of use without prior notice.


5. Filming and photography in the Galleria Riga premises, on the rooftop terrace on the 8th floor, in the adjoining area and in the parking lot

5.1. It is prohibited to carry out filming and/or photography intended for both non-commercial and commercial purposes and projects, including by drone, without written approval and obtaining permission from the Galleria Riga administration.


6. Activities of a commercial nature, fundraising and other activities in the premises of Galleria Riga, on the roof terrace on the 8th floor, in the parking lot and in the adjacent area

6.1. It is prohibited to advertise, distribute and sell any type of goods or services, except in cases where this has been agreed in writing with the shopping center administration and a written permit has been received to carry out the aforementioned activities during the period specified by the administration.

6.2. It is prohibited to carry out any kind of fundraising and volunteer work, except in cases where it has been agreed in writing with the shopping center administration and a written permit has been obtained to carry out the aforementioned activities during the period specified by the administration.

6.3. It is prohibited to carry out political and any other type of agitation, and to organize and implement any kind of private and public events and/or mass gatherings in order to carry out the aforementioned, but not only, activities.


7. Galleria Riga rooftop terrace, 8th floor:

7.1. smoking by visitors is allowed only in the designated area;

7.2. Visitors are prohibited from remaining in restricted areas, as well as on or behind the terrace perimeter barrier (glass enclosure);

7.3. the presence of minors on the roof terrace is the responsibility of their accompanying persons or authorized representatives;

7.4. in accordance with Riga City Council binding regulations No. 80, it is prohibited for persons up to 16 years of age to be on the roof terrace after 22:00 without the accompaniment of parents or authorized representatives.


8. It is allowed in the shopping center:

8.1. enter the shopping center's common areas with an animal only if it is on a leash and together with its owner; each shopping center tenant (shop and/or service provider) decides for itself whether animals on a leash are allowed to enter and be present in its premises;

8.2. Through the shopping center entrance from Blaumaņa Street to Dzirnavu Street or in the opposite direction, it is permitted to cross the shopping center's first floor while pushing a bicycle or scooter alongside.


9. The Galleria Riga shopping center does not assume responsibility for:

9.1. items and objects left unattended in rooms, in the parking lot, on the roof terrace and in the adjacent area;

9.2. to any type of means of transport left in the premises, in the parking lot, on the roof terrace and in the adjoining area.

9.3. The shopping center's security has the right to move vehicles left unattended without prior warning if they damage property or obstruct the shopping center's operations, including the safe and unobstructed movement of shopping center visitors.

9.4. The shopping centre's security has the right, without prior notice, to inspect and/or move or dispose of items left unattended (for example, but not limited to items that may be considered explosive) if they damage property or disrupt the operation of the shopping centre, including visitors.


10. In emergency situations:

10.1. the shopping center premises, parking lot and roof terrace must be vacated immediately if an evacuation announcement is played and/or a fire alarm siren sounds;

10.2. must follow the instructions of the security service, of employees of state services, and of the administration, and must comply with them;

10.3. In emergency situations it is forbidden to use lifts and escalators, evacuation must be carried out only using the stairs, following the marking of evacuation exits.

10.4. In emergency situations, the administration, without prior warning to customers and visitors, has the right to temporarily close the shopping center or part of it – in cases of accidents, or in cases where there are any threats to the safety of visitors and the building. The administration has the right to make such a decision unilaterally or in accordance with the instructions and/or request of state service employees. In such cases customers and visitors do not have the right to claim compensation from the shopping center for losses arising from the addressing of emergency situations and the temporary or long-term closure of the building.
